Think sattelite antenna, they are pretty similar and are basically just a variation on the ParabolicAntenna  In fact, you can use an old primestar dish and a tin can as a wireless antenna.  They are usually parabolic focused beams that are very fine, and offer good gain.-- ColinDabritz
