FrequencyHoppingSpreadSpectrum is a technique for using radio spectrum. FHSS chooses a set of small channels (say 1MHz) within a band and then periodically (and predictably) hops between them (every 224 microseconds?). [[802.11]] requires the implementation of FHSS, but [[802.11b]] abandons it in favor of [[802.11]].
