Agenda
MissNet Workshop, what's left to be done?
- Disposition of the donated Blackberry 8300
- None Yet
Notes
- A Blackberry 8300 was donated by a member of a Linux User Group. He wanted it to go towards furthering the PTP mission, so we are offering it for sale, with all proceeds to go to Personal Telco.
SteveSchroedl contacted MichaelWeinberg about potential donations to PTP, but nothing has been figured out at this point.
We have FreeGeek gifted boxes to configure for Mississippi. We are installing wireless PCI cards in them and giving them to residents to connect. The workshop is tentatively scheduled for April 5th, 2008.
- We will complete the assembly and setup of the boxes at the April 2nd weekly meeting.
- We still need to decide what the criteria is to receive a box. This will be decided at the next weekly when we assemble them.
- We also still need volunteers for the workshop on April 5th.
MichaelWeinberg suggests that PTP should expand its reach to cover a broader range of technology needs for community and non-profits.
RussellSenior is working on going to International Summit for Community Wireless Networks in Washington D.C.
