What is our charter, this is currently under discussion.  What are your Ideas?  Here are some links that talking about writing a mission statement. I like the last one best.  Some ideas I think are important, please add your own:

 * Building actual physical communities using networking technology
 * Using technology to bring people together instead of providing new ways for them to talk apart.
 * Providing broadband internet access (and maybe email/web/etc hosting) in neighborhoods which don't have access either physically or financially.
 * A grass roots organization dedicated to taking back the internet from the corporations and returning it to the people.
