SFLan is a free, cooperative WISP in San Francisco. They provide free bandwidth and sell systems which allow people to connect to a WISP style distribution network which is then connected to the internet. In 2007, their long (over 1 mile) line-of-sight wireless links have experienced too much SNR reduction because the proliferation of wireless consumer devices and their network is down to just a few nodes.
