Started to work on the system monitoring software, when I mentioned that Cacti seemed to be down. Ben discovered that chevy, the box where Cacti and Drupal run was participating in a DDoS attack to/from either italy and/or mexico. We shutdown chevy remotely, then walked down to the ballroom building to investigate. Failing to "solve the problem" immediate, I took it home to investigate further and possibly rebuild based on Debian/stable, which we'd talked about long ago anyway. JasonMcArthur provided helpful clues on the IrcChannel.
Eric lives near GrandCentralBaking and was still having trouble accessing the radio there with his repeater. We speculated that it might be a problem with the repeater and I suggested that we might supply him one of ours. This is the second event that Eric has participated in.
- Eric plans to do some flyering of the neighbors while his hand heals.
