  • NodeLuckyLabNorth -- Russell contacted Gary to inquire about the equipment, which is still plugged in and operating, got a reply

  • NodeFirstUnitarian -- Russell still trying to work out a mutually convenient time to swap AP at apartment of user

• Russell is working on a revamp/cleanup of the .config stubs for building node firmware, converted to all-mbedtls to minimize redundant SSL/TLS libraries, wolfssl and openssl are other options
  • wolfssl was previously not viable for OpenVPN
  • mbedtls support was only recently included for hostapd and family.
• Modifying the API to support a new device adventures.
• Russell scored some surplus gear, including a calix gigapoint 803g, looking forward to tearing it down.

• Reviewed Calix ONT hardware (internal box, about the size of a hard disk). Russell will teardown and take photos
• Node notes:

  • NodeBrunner - installed APU gateway, retired Buffalo, discussion about current Comcast and CenturyLink offers, Russell will add access to Cacti for Ted

  • NodeLuckyLabNorth - Gary will grab gear next time he is up there.

  • NodeFirstUnitarian - still trying to arrange a handoff time for new gear

  • NodeKailash - Ole said they "might" have a second campus 53 Apartments at new site ~100 people, maybe wireless with ethernet between buildings

  • NodeEdison - Tenant has a new phone that is having issues with the captive portal due to iOS rolling MAC address (randomized per SSID) can disable in settings, or can whitelist the MAC for each SSID

  • NodeKlickitat - Russell replaced older hardware, one node had a slider switch that disabled WIFI

• Russell is working on the configurator to remove cruft in configs and will build/apply to the testbed
  • wolfssl had a security issue recently, but possible now to use only mbedtls (testing)
  • removed old hardware from our software tree as we don't have them deployed anymore
• Modify API to support new changes. NodeJS frontend for Datamanager.
