The Personal Telco Project runs the #ptp channel on irc.personaltelco.net. Nothing useful happens in #ptp though, so don't expect deep and revealing discussions into the meta-physical plane of existence, or anything.

# For an IPv6 connection

Browsers like Mozilla will allow you to paste the following URL into it (assuming that you have ChatZilla installed):
irc://irc.personaltelco.org/ptp

However, if you don't have any IRC software installed, you can quickly access the channel via the java IRC client.

Another very popular general wireless channel is #wireless on irc.freenode.net. Not to be confused with irc.personaltelco.net, they are two separate networks.

irc.bcwireless.net offers a network of CWN channels.

SeattleWireless is located on irc.efnet.net

irc.freenetworks.org is no longer in operation.
