Debian is my operating system of choice, and light laptops are great for WarWalking.
I used to like building my own AshlandWireless:PvcYagi antennas. But, cans work better/just as good, and are cheaper, and less time consuming. The only other type of antenna I would continue to mess with doing homemade, are helicals, damon and I have had excellent success with these.
