Roll Call: SaraHonsberger, John, ChrisChen, RussellSenior, MichaelWeinberg, TroyJaqua
Agenda
Meet at NodeFreshPot at 1pm
- Get started across the street at 1:15pm.
Replace the non-functioning Cisco APs on the Mississippi Ballroom roof with two shiney new NanoStation2's.
Notes
- Chris, Russell and Troy stayed safely inside, while Michael, Sara and John climbed up on the roof.
Things went unusually smoothly. The Ciscos were removed, cables checked and fixed, NanoStation2's were plugged in and configured.
- Later on, Russell took the Cisco-connected gear apart. It appears the failure in the SE corner was due to a bad cable connection (at the splice?) and the failure at the NW corner was due to a leaking enclosure (was rather damp inside). The Ciscos themselves look fine. I was able to log in to them.
Also later on, Russell upgraded the firmware on the new NanoStation2's and set up some logging on cacti.
