Maintenance and System Log
2009-01-29: Stopped by today and recovered the WGT from the florist shop ladies that moved in. The AP and antenna over the door are still plugged in and beaconing. They do not have a ladder, so we need to organize one and go recover that gear as well. Looks like an AP, an antenna and an AC adapter or PoE injector. A tallish step-ladder would be good and someone about Don's height. --RussellSenior.
- 2008-01-14, delivered WGT and switch. Terminated cable and made patch cable. Intel access point looks good - powered on, ethernet run to office gives link light. Office manager Liz wants final cut-over to happen before office hours of 9am. Bring AC power strip and 2nd patch cable. Switch is ready to be placed upstream of the WAN port on the existing linksys router. WGT can hang off switch, and Intel AP can hang off WGT. Needs someone to make another visit, pre-9am. See photos in PTP node gallery under Portland Staffing.
- On August _, 2003 a nocat box was added to get stats and a splashpage
2007-02-20: RussellSenior and DonPark stopped by to try to get the node working again. Discover the nucab is gone and the cat5 run from the AP is terminates in a neat coil and was clipped off. Office manager reports that she's been there two years and has never seen the nucab, implying at least two years of downtime. Need to figure out what to replace it with. There is a linksys (not wireless) router on the floor by a desk, looks like that's where the nucab was once plugged. Probably need a box of some kind between the AP and their network, either another nucab or maybe a little openwrt'd box. We probably should at least unplug the AP until we get stuff connected again.
