Maintenance and System Log
2007-04-12: Responding to the absence of heartbeats reported by the wifidog hotspot maps, found the Buffalo had been unplugged, it turns out intentionally. Hopefully, it'll get turned back on soon. --RussellSenior
2006-12-22: Reinstalled the Buffalo and retrieved the Linksys. WorksForMe, but another guy here having trouble getting on. --RussellSenior
2006-12-21: Installed OpenWrt Kamikaze r5696 on the Buffalo, just needs plugging in and a couple tweaks. --RussellSenior
2006-12-20: Temporarily setup a WRT54GS with OpenWrt and wifidog. Took their Buffalo (allegedly OpenWrt-able) to install OpenWrt and hopefully return soon. -- RussellSenior
4 April 2006: Formatted this page in accordance with NodeAudit, still lots of info missing or uncertain. - CalebPhillips
3 April 2006: the linksys has been replaced with a run-of-the-mill dlink access point. its under the end of the counter, furthest from the front door. from what i can tell its wired straight to the DSL modem. i assume the owner replaced the linksys when nocat splash's unreliability became too much. whats odd is that DHCP is still being given out in the 10.11.10.128/26 range, although the netmask is /28. the default route is also still 10.11.10.129. the dsl modem is a qwest actiontec. id be suprized if the actiontec was configured with 10. addresses, but its possible. the dlink could also be configured with 10. addresses in dhcp but it wont do NAT so that'd be pretty broken. this node needs another visit. -- DonPark
Notes
- Democracy Burger is pretty tasty. Staff are very nice.
- Wifidog is "starting" slowly. Can't auth for about 3.5 minutes after a power cycle, then works fine.
