- Ernesto Falcon - reported on legislation efforts, current US House bill for Covid relief includes $80B half of which is earmarked for funding local efforts of broadband. Ernesto wants to have text require 100Mb symmetric.
- Incumbents have lay people write letters on their behalf (astroturf).
- "No One Left Offline" project in San Francisco to collect donations to support providing connections (via incumbents), appears to be 501c3. Russell was concerned, but appears legit.
- Article in Willamette Week on Comcast Internet Essentials being insufficient for remote learning.
- Chattanooga, TN (EPB) has provided internet to low-income households at no cost.
