Agenda
- Pick location for next weekly
- Node notes:
NodeBeulahLand -- on Saturday, the SkyPilots and one of the masts were removed from the roof. Also, the gateway devices was reconnected to the internet (the tab on the ethernet cable is broken). We did not install the new rooftop device because it was not quite ready yet and because as we discovered, our ethernet runs were not intact. We'll need to repair/replace the ethernet run to the roof. The rooftop device has subsequently been prepared and is ready to go in.
NodeArborLodge -- the last two SkyPilot devices in Portland (afawk) are here, although the extender has been unreachable since November. A replacement device (TPLink EAP225 Outdoor v1) is ready to install. The ethernet run is still working to the SkyGateway.
NodeSechzig -- no reply from the tenant yet despite multiple attempts.
NodeMississippi -- no news from CapitalPDX regarding roof access at the Ballroom Building, needs a ping.
- APRA Grant update
- Banking update

Notes
- TPLink EAP225 now has OpenWRT PTP installed on EBAY-sourced refurb APs
- Node notes:
NodeArborLodge - replace gateway and power supply, Russell will contact node host asking about some Saturday or Sunday availability, sky extender is on neighbor's garage to also decomm
- Once we have all the sky pilot hardware down, have a final teardown of last ~15 for metal recycling
- ARPA Grant - Rebecca adding new reportables to agreement, how many people use for at least an hour per day. Russell suggested that "active" use would not be accurately measurable, but some gappy 15min dhcp renewal suggests they have been on longer
- Secured network: Opportunistic wireless encryption in WPA3 available in OpenWRT since around 2018. Client devices, support depends - modern Android does since Android 12, but only most recent Apple hardware + software, eg. iOS 16 + iphone 12; macOS 13 + M2 hardware.
- We need to create a memorandum of understanding within the next week
we don't want to: subcontract to other companies, that should be managed by AfroVillage
- we will: create software and reporting, in conjunction with trainees, we bill up front and expect most of our work completes when equipment is installed and users are trained
- Russell wants to move away from USBank to a credit union nearby. Switchover when we get first grant check
- Russell will be involved in heat-mapping Portland temperatures, in conjunction with PSU. Record temperatures multiple times a day on a slow-moving route
