Non-Profit Organization

Personal Telco Project is a Federal Tax Exempt 501(c)(3) and an Oregon Non-profit Corporation.

Officers of the corporation (as of BoardMeeting20090812) are:

The Mailing List

We run a couple of lively mailing lists; the most active of which is the general list. By reading the archives and asking questions there, you should be able to get most of your questions answered.

The Monthly Meetings

Every month we try and get together for some face time at our monthly meeting. They are informal events; anyone interested in learning more or helping out is welcome to come and ask (or answer) questions. We try to keep the meeting agenda page up to date so people can come informed with some idea of what to expect.

The Weekly Meetings

A small group of core members gather almost every week at our weekly meetings. We get together to work on problems that need to be solved and discuss new ideas. If you are just looking for help getting started your best bet is the mailing lists, but if you're looking to get more involved, or just prefer to meet in person, this is the best way to meet the team.

Weekly meetings are normally held every Wednesday, except the last week of each month, in which case the monthly meeting takes precedence. Times are normally announced on the general list a couple of days before they happen and appear on the wiki.

The PTP is an all volunteer organization so if you do not get a reply right away please be patient.

IRC

The Personal Telco Project runs channel #ptp on the irc.personaltelco.net server. Members can be found there night and day though the level of help varies with time zones and mental gestalt of the group.

Twitter

The Personal Telco Project is on twitter. You can follow @personaltelco and we'll follow you back. We try to respond to any tweets that are directed our way in a timely fashion, and we also keep an eye out for node outages that are reported by twitter, though we do prefer a more detailed report, if possible.

In Person

We hold weekly and monthly meetings so that we can share ideas, go over problems, get new members up to speed and in general add faces to projects that make up the PTP. All are welcome. Please check the website for the exact time and location of our meetings.
