''' The Plan '''

I'm tossing around idea and dates with my better half on holding another
installfest/gathering over at node236 (my house) sometime in January.

Given the fun and works we did at the last one at my place (we got one
node up, another nearly complete and a third pushed over the edge into
ptpdom) and given the New Clone Army Box situation we have the makings for
a productive educational and fun filled day.

Add into that mix my wanting to cook up a big meal on a cold winters day
and I think we have ourselves something to plan for.

I'm thinking a Saturday in the middle of the month would be best. We can
run it from about 11 am to around 6 or 7 pm. I have plenty of space to set
up tables to work on the boxes as well as to sit around and do the
educational socializing .

Even if you never ever installed an OS of any kind before this will be a
great opportunity to learn how. Keegans and his crew are working on the
tools and methods to make installing a working setup on the New clone Army
Boxes as easy as can be. It will be a great learning experience as well as
an opportunity to get some of these boxes preped for use in the field.
Report:
On a cold winters day some folks sloshed through the thaw to learn, build
and share ideas.

Thanks to everyone who made it out on this slushy day to make this
happen. Specail thanks to Arron for meeting us at 9:30 in the morn up at
Open Oregon to pick up Nucabs and to KeeganQuinn for not only showing us how
its done but doing the lions share of the installing.

At the end of the day some answers where had, we came up with more
question, some boxes (15) are that much closer to being field ready
PTPnet nodes, the NewCloneArmyInstallMethodolody got some working on and some new faces
where met.

All in all a good day.

So what needs to be done to finalize the plans on this
Installfest/Gathering? Glad you asked.

First off, who is interested in attending? Second, which Saturday in Jan
works best for folks? Given those two pieces of info we can come up with a
date that works.

We can work out the details once we have that covered.

Ok folks, lets have us a PTPhootennany...
