Jouni wrote the first drivers which enable a Linux box to work as a Linux Access Point without requiring special firmware to do it.  This is a great step in the right direction as the firmware required to do it with the Linux Wlan Project is propriatary and can only be obtained illegally or by signing an ["NDA"] and probably paying some money to the relevant vendor. Turns out he's not just the author of the Linux HostApMode drivers for the a Prism2Card''''''s. He also works on HUT's "dynamics" project for MobileIp on Linux at http://www.cs.hut.fi/Research/Dynamics/ and http://dynamics.lifix.fi/ .
It would certainly be interesting to see his lab.

This is a great step in the right direction as the firmware required to do it with the Linux Wlan Project is proprietary and can only be obtained illegally or by signing an NDA and probably paying some money to the relevant vendor.

His drivers take advantage of a special mode present only in a Prism2Card called HostApMode.
