My laptop is a Thinkpad T30 1.8GHz with a Cisco Aironet MPI350

The machine is running Redhat 9.0 with an updated kernel, 2.4.20-13.9 with
some mods for Win4lin and some EE CAD dongle drivers :-( .
I am located near Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway and Jamieson. I could be throwing bits at the local businesses (Mcdonalds, Round Table Pizza, Bimart, KFC, many others) if I can avoid Comcast TOS restrictions.

With some help from the net, I have the MPI350 working (no, it is not the same as the PCMCIA 350)
and on August 12, 2003, we popped its PTP cherry at Capuia! I'll be moving that card to my wife's
T30 (the MPI350 firmware doesn't support GPL drivers) and getting a Senao/Teletronics card from
LonnieWormley .

I have a Siemens Speedstream Wireless DSL/Cable Router, SS2624. It is a 20mW beasty, not
good enough for a PTP node (and there's that pesky Comcast limitation, too). This will connect
to my internal network, WEP'ed, then I'll figure out some way to meet Comcast's restrictions
and still serve the community.

businesses (Mcdonalds, Round Table Pizza, Bimart, KFC, many others) if there was some way to pay
for a business connection to Comcast. Alternatively, [http://www.easystreet.com/ Easystreet]
headquarters is about 400 yards away, perhaps I can encourage them to feed an AP.

I am a mixed-signal integrated circuit design consultant. [http://www.kl-ic.com/ KLIC]

When I am not consulting, I fiddle with a web page at [http://www.keithl.com/ keithl.com] .
I prefer getting my email at [mailto:keithl@ieee.org keithl@ieee.org] .
