Agenda

  • Node notes:
    • NodeLuckyLabNW -- try out the newly augmented network! Switching to different ISP, probably tomorrow.

    • NodeKlickitat -- completed the switch over from ArcherC7 to E8450 and the link drops are gone, apparently a known/unresolved bug in the ArcherC7's 2.4GHz radio, boggle.

    • NodeKellogg -- power not available at outlet, no update from landlord

  • Upcoming AnnualMembersMeeting2025, where we'll elect a member of the BoardOfDirectors

  • CODE drama:
    • FreeGeek is abandoning leadership role in CODE, with cited reasons:

      • Moving to a new building, not clear where, but said current building is too small
      • No engagement with electeds, no funding
    • Looking to hand it off to someone else to lead
  • LinkOregon meeting tomorrow

  • Review ToDoList2025 for any updates/notes

Notes

  • Node notes:
    • NodeLuckyLabNW - new 3 AP network works much better. PoE injector for AP2 not found, but link upgraded OK to 1Gb.

      • Looks like upstream will be switched from Comcast to Quantum 300Mb (they've had another long DNS outage recently).
    • NodeKlickitat - Replacing Archer C7 nodes fixed most issues. Other issue on John's connection to roof.

    • NodeKellogg - No update

  • BoardOfDirectors - JasonBergstrom nominated by RussellSenior

  • CODE - FreeGeek is no longer interested in leading

    • Russell is first suggesting Portland/Multnomah County should pick this up. But, possibly MunicipalBroadbandPDX.
  • LinkOregon - Universities/rural granted strands of fiber from CenturyLink at beginning.

    • This is the annual members meeting, where the CEO is retiring
    • Networking: K-12, local/state government, nonprofits
