| This node provides coverage to the Arbor Lodge Park in North Portland. Local neighborhood coverage comes from a wgt624u running openwgt resulting in a Linux based AP and a the 12dBi Omni Directional Antenna. I would say that almost anyone in the area with a chance to get a client antenna on their roof can connect from the surrounding area easily. Signal reception in surrounding houses could also be good. Also, though you have to dodge some trees here and there, there is great coverage in the park.
Here is a great idea of the coverage. However, I've placed the antenna in a little better vantage point now so it is probably even better now.
As of 2006 this network is growing. We are now using olsrd to create a dynamically routed mesh network.
Please the ArborLodge documentation for more details.
