How To Create A Node

  1. Go to http://maps.personaltelco.net/

  2. Click on "Create a node" on the left side.

  3. Enter, node name, contact email, status, latitude, and longitude. If you don't know your lat/long please get it by going to MapBlast and entering in your address. You can get you lat/long from other sources but you will get more accurate results using MapBlast. (Another good source to get your lat/long is http://geocode.com/eagle.html - VERY accurate - Added Mar 15, 2002 - Trevor Jorgenson)

    I tried getting lat/long from http://geocode.com/eagle.html, but the resulting MapBlast map put my house one block too far west. Some googling turned up this [http://gps.algebra.com/ Address to GPS coordinate converter] which gave me more accurate coordinates. --TomOffermann

  4. After you've created the node, edit the node (left side, click on recently changed nodes, and click on your node, then click on edit this node at the bottom.

  5. Add any additional information you have (especially which WirelessCommunity you belong to!).
