Maintenance and System Log

  • 2005-10-11: Created this page in compliance with NodeAudit, although there is still plenty of info missing, and I think the node is currently down. Once I can dig up a laptop, and make it to the site, I will fill in the details. - CalebPhillips

  • 2005-10-13: Oak Tree has moved to Naito Parkway. KeeganQuinn and I are attempting contact. Currently, the node is down (in pieces). - CalebPhillips

  • 2005-10-24: I spoke with John Schmitt at OakTree, they are going to put the hardware back up at their earliest convenience. Stay tuned for updates - CalebPhillips

  • 2006-01-08: Spoke with John Schmitt at OakTree on the 7th. Have scheduled work on the node for the 14th at 10:00am. - CalebPhillips

  • 2006-01-14: DonPark and I brought the node up, and it is now happily serving the Westside Waterfront. - CalebPhillips

  • 2008-06-24: The nucab would not drive a monitor on powerup. Nucab has been pulled along with one of the AP1000s and delivered to RussellSenior to confirm status. Will most likely deploy a WGT in its place. --DonPark

  • 2009-01-28: A PTP Netgear WGT634U is being configured to replace the NuCab pulled last summer. Hopefully DonPark can go plug it in, the old RG-1000 can be plugged into a LAN port to bridge. --RussellSenior

  • 2009-06-30: After a few weeks unplugged, got it replugged and then flashed it with a customized WgtCab image. Note that currently it is configure to split the wireless and lan ports, so connecting another AP isn't going to work as suggested above. Can be reconfigured. --RussellSenior

Notes

  • Covers The SW Waterfront near the Battleship Oregon Monument.
  • Is able to be used (albeit slowly) on the Eastbank too! (Near benches opposite the USS Oregon mast)

  • More information is available in Adhocracy.
