In 2002-2003, this location was originally a part of an experiment aiming to provide physical access to PTPnet. The installation included a Soekris net4521 mounted on the roof. It featured a working long-range wireless link to Node504, although the connection was never completely stable.

In 2015, the node was relocated from the Laurelhurst neighborhood to Vancouver, Washington.
