The node was originally a part of an experiment aiming to provide access to PTPnet. The installation included a Soekris embedded system mounted on the roof of the house. It featured a working physical wireless link to Node504, although the connection was never completely stable. Unfortunately, the Soekris has been taken down and the node now provides only Internet access.
