This is not a matter of FreeOrForPay, nor is it a matter of AuthenticatedVsAnonymized.
Community Wireless Networks
Like a community garden, a community wireless network is built by a small group of people for use by everyone in the community. The kind of community networks I'm interested in are the free ones: autonomous and self-governing, with free access to everyone. Such networks aren't without cost to build or maintain, and Internet access may not be free, but reason for building the network is not for financial gain.
