Personal Telco Project Network Diagram

Each community will have the following items

  • Community Router - Linux or Unix box running ospf (zebra) and (eventually) access software (captive portal)

  • Community Hub - access point (may be the router but could be an air port etc) and omni-directional antenna

  • Community Gateway - internet connection

  • Inter-community Gateway - directional link to another community

Each community will be responsible for

  • All expenses for building their community
  • Picking the technology and hardware for their community
  • Technical Support

Revision 1 of the network diagram -- LonnieWormley

  • This network diagram needs to be updated. The current plan involves more AdhocRouting and less traditional network building. If you care to see it pester me and I'll get something together -- AdamShand.
