i currently live in south-east portland, although i'm moving to christchurch, new zealand in mid-february 2002. i hope to estabish a student run wireless network on the university of canterbury campus, where i'll be living for the next few years ... (Updated August 22nd, 2002) I'm attempting to drum up interest in wireless Internet APs in general. Our campus could do with a few, and I think Christchurch would be quite receptive to a public wireless network.

General ChCh wireless links:

Canterbury University Wireless:

''note: not a public network, and you need a proper login/password to use it, just like any other university network computer.''

 * Due to budget cuts, I'm having a hard time getting any significant interest from the IT department.

 * There's only one accessable node I know of, with a very low signal strength, accessable in the IT building parking lot.
