Node Maintenance

    • Sep 2002 on the last trip, we could not locate the AP (!). the nocat server is in a distant server closet.

well... from the door facing mlk. walk forward 12-15 paces. This takes you past the host stand veering left but mostly straight. Stop. Turn left. Before you is an open doorway the top of which is a large wooden beam. On the top of that beam (above the door opening) you you see antennae. you have located the AP.

Software

  • improve the map software - split into three projects: db, mapping, php/html
  • start a ukansas-style false-color photo-based map system (plug-in for existing map?)

Misc

  • Paint the Van! Channel 6 requested that we remove the large '6' on the side.
    • The van has a first coat of white spraypaint over the sixes.

Daves Proposed Plan for Painting PTP Van

1: find size of circles with CH 6 2: cut string to radius 3: cut circle from papre using string in compass like fashion 4: glue circular stencil to van with elmers white glue 5: spray grey primer over 6 6: paint white over primer 7: tape out stencil for logo 8: airbrush or handpaint red for logo 9: place leter stickers for logo text (community wireless and PTP URL) 10: wet round stencil and remove
