Rocky Butte, Wireless Net update |
* Static web site has been updated; people seem to like it. * KeeganQuinn provided a new 12dBi Pacific Wireless omni antenna for AaronBaer's new node (["Node134"]), which should cover Arbor Lodge Park. * 90 PCs have been donated by the city. They all need software. DanRichardson suggests saving 10 for spare parts. * LinuxFund has a new office in North Portland, and is prepared to share space with the PTP. Work needs to be done to prepare a node * DonPark has a permanent link to Rocky Butte, and KeeganQuinn has proven the feasibility of another link. TomFitzgerald has provided two MiniPCI radios to help. * Intercommunication and interopteration with different wireless groups around the West coast is unanimously desired. * Discussion about changing SSIDs from www.personaltelco.net; KeeganQuinn motions to move discussion to general mailing list, since there are many issues which deserve the attention of the entire membership. |
