Agenda

  • Pick location for next weekly
  • Node notes:
    • NodeTibbetts -- ER-X failed in conjunction with a power outage, replaced with the APU recovered from NodeBrelin in conjunction with a Netgear GS108Tv3 with some vlan trunks

    • NodeStreetRoots -- currently unreachable, maybe the same problem as seen with NodeTibbetts (NAND flash develops a corrupt block in squashfs which prevents booting fully), recoverable by reflashing, considering replacing with an Alix.

  • Russell promised to check with our bank about getting Ted Brunner a debit card
  • Russell promised to share the paypal account login credentials
  • We should talk about contingency plans for Russell's absence.

Notes

  • Node notes:
    • NodeTibbetts - pre-snow day power outage, failed ER-X, reconfigured NodeBrelin APU hardware + OpenWRT managed GS108Tv3 to cover ports w/vlan trunks

      • Fourth ERX failure leading to not booting, but also other squashfs issues on NAND that weren't fatal
        • layer does mark bad blocks, but may previously have had real data on it, leading to needing interactive recovery
        • also issues at StreetRoots, Buffalo Gap, device also on NodeMississippi and elsewhere
