Notes

  • Node notes:
    • NodeFirstUnitarian - issue with one or more components, also at apartment across the way there is an ethernet with a failing jacket.

    • NodeMississippi - Link unstable commons to ballroom. But now can't get to Bullet on Aaron's house. GPIO cycling doesn't work. Russell will have Aaron look first, then we drop by.

    • NodeSherrett - switching from CenturyLink To Comcast, need to switch PPPoE to DHCP. Russell will need to connect once she's in town (Ted wants to be there).

    • NodeBeulahLand - gateway "ouch" - visit next week?

    • NodeLuckyLabNorth - closed, will arange to pick up gear (but is also old gear).

    • No issues with NAND update issue post upgrades.
  • Russell gave overview of new FCC broadband map https://broadbandmap.fcc.gov/location-summary/ (Bead Grant. $39B will be allocated on basis of map to cover un/underserved < 100Mb).

  • Ted interested in going to BattleMesh in May, this year outside Barcelona.

  • RaspberryShake - seismograph (assembled or kit).

  • Office for Community Technology will be re-orged under Bureau of Planning and Sustainability. Lana left in early December.
  • ChrisBushick (PDX Privacy) contacted Russell in early December to comment on work Hector had been putting together for a Smart City PDX surveillance policy end of last year to put before council. Call will happen next Tuesday, we would sign on to.

  • Next week's meeting is at NodeBeulahLand. Russell will have a conflict for in-person meetings through May on Wednesdays for many locations.
