• Node notes:

  • NodeKlickitat -- 2.4GHz mesh was temporarily disabled by a deauthentication "attack" for an hour or so, which stopped by itself. Russell needs to put together a direction finding kit to help identify the perp so that we can nicely ask them to fix their rogue equipment.

  • NodeGriswold -- ap1 is disappearing for intervals, but not rebooting, unclear why.

  • NodeKellogg -- is back online as July 5 after an extended outage due to lack of power.

  • CenturyLink pppoe outages -- affected several nodes, three brief outages, about 5 minutes each.

• OSUOSL -- our box is going to be moving, some expenses will be involved.
  • put in 1U R630 box (we need rails?) at the new OSUOSL location
    • 2x 8-core Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2640 v3 @ 2.60GHz
    • 128GB RAM
  • looking for a home for orange, the 2U R720.

• Russell will put together 2 nodes with OpenWRT for Franklin
• Node notes:

  • NodeKlickitat - something jamming 2.4GHz (1000/second deauthentication packets sent by device, with beacon SSID, perhaps CenturyLink AP), one of the nodes on the mesh with a CenturyLink connection.

  • NodeGriswold - ap1 drops without rebooting.

  • NodeKellogg - came back after power restored

• CenturyLink outages - PPoE outage likely (3 last Saturday, 2AM 1PM)

• OSUOSL
  • Need rails for Dell R630, if disks needed, buy them now
• EFA call - EFFs success at Supreme Court this session - Texas porn legislation required de-anonymized connections that the court OK'd
  • Russell asked a question about storage ownership (cloud vs local server)
