Introduction
AlexisTurner had an IM session with her mother this morning:
11:55:45 AM mother:yep, you're better than just about anybody I can think of at sniffing out lameness.
11:56:36 AM alexisturner: it's because I'm a snotty, self important b****
11:56:48 AM mother: and very self aware, I see.

11:57:25 AM mother: it's pretty f***ing annoying, that's for sure.
In light of this, AlexisTurner is still holding onto the flimsy dream that memorably full of crap and talentless is nonetheless better than "complete failure," and, in fact, is richly rewarded in modern society. (Andy Warhol being the classic example)
