Bluetooth is a lower bandwidth, shorter ranger version of 802.11b. However because of these trade offs it is is very low power solution which can be embedded in hardware devices. This means that finally your palm pilot can talk to your cellphone which can talk to your computer. As best as I can tell it is what IrDA should have been all along.
We are working on a BlueToothFaq and collecting BlueToothLinks. If one of your questions isn't answered their please add the question and hopefully someone will notice and answer it. Otherwise you are of course welcome to post to the MailingList with any wireless questions you may have.
SamChurchill has also posted a story he wrote for [http://roadtripamerica.com/ Roadtrip America] called BlueToothMovesOut which has lots of information about what's available and ideas about where this is all going.
