Maintenance and System Log
2006-05-25: I was notified by automatic report today that the CAB at Costello’s Travel Cafe ran out of space on /var. I went ahead and cleared the 428MiB NoCatAuth log file, configured NoCatAuth for Verbosity 0, restarted NoCatAuth and started the DHCP daemon, which had crashed. (- KeeganQuinn)
2006-05-11: an hour or so later, the connection drops out. i could not ping the gateway this time. I powercycled the AP and things are normal again. very weird. --DonPark
2006-05-11: The Actiontec R1524SU locked up. a power-cycle got things going again. This is one of the older actiontecs that are truely horrible. Ive suggested to Chris in an email that it be replaced. --DonPark
2006-02-15: Held WeeklyMeeting20060215 here. At some point the Actiontec DSL Modem stopped working (apparently a common phenomenon). Power-cycled and it works again. This problem seems to be increasing in frequency. Perhaps the modem should be replaced. -CalebPhillips
2006-02-13: RussellSenior checked out a reported outage. Craptiontech DSL modem had flaked out. Power-cycle fixed it. There have also been reports of some flakiness of late, but usually power-cycling the AP seems to fix it.
2005-11-05: RussellSenior, DonPark and I responded to a cry for help. The /var/ partition was full. Once this, and another small problem were fixed, the node was back to functioning. We also took the opportunity to forward ports 22 and 80 to the portal box, so hopefully it is now remotely accessible. (- CalebPhillips)
2005-10-01: Functional (if Inaccessible) (- CalebPhillips)
2005-09-26: Inaccessible from the Internet. (- KeeganQuinn)
2005-03-17: Flaky WRT54G replaced with a NetGear WGT624. (- DarrinEden)
- Unknown: Original AP replaced with a WRT54G.
