The Shmoo Group is a loosely knit group of computer security and privacy professionals who believe that full disclosure of security related problems to the public is the only way that problems get solved.

They run the [http://securitygeeks.shmoo.com/ Security Geeks] and [http://www.macsecurity.org Mac Security] weblogs, wrote [http://www.shmoo.com/gawd/ GAWD] (The Global Access Wireless Database) and [http://www.shmoo.com/osiris/ Osiris], maintain the [http://www.shmoo.com/SCnP/ SC&P] index, imagined the [http://pablos.kadrevis.com/projects/irmr Internet Random Mail Reader] and too much more to count.

You can find a list of all their projects at their [http://www.shmoo.com/ homepage] and see who all is involved on the [http://www.shmoo.com/members/ members page].

In general they are good guys, but of course I'm biased because I pretend to be one of them in my spare time :-). -- AdamShand
