In the immediate area, the towns of Acton and Westford, there are currently four registered nodes, each within about 4 miles of each other. Currently only one of the nodes is active. We'll need more nodes to make a viable wireless network. You can sign up as an "interested" node, even if you do not currently have any wireless equipment.
There are several several more nodes closer in to Boston. Some of us are members of the Boston Area Wireless Interest Association (BAWIA) http://www.bawia.org
