Flagship product of KarlNet - Enhances the capabilites of Standard 802.11
Traditional wireless systems are extensions of private wired local area networks (LANs) extended to include wireless access, and are based on a modified wired LAN model. There is no management of resources, and each computer is able to use all or none of the network bandwidth at any given moment. The wired LAN model is intended for a shared private community between trusted partners, and for that purpose the model works well. However, the current wireless LAN standards (IEEE 802.11 and its extensions) are deficient in several areas. KarlNets TurboCell addresses these problems. Each TurboCell solution is explained in greater detail in the body of the paper.
