The Zcomax XI-300 appears to be the best card available for general use right now. It's receive sensitivity(-83dBm) rating is very good, though it hasn't been fully tested by us yet for operating range. It is a real 16-bit PCMCIA card that should work in any PCMCIA slot. (Yes it works in Stylistic 1000's) AdamShand and I have tested and it does work with the HostApMode driver under Linux, so this card will act like an AP. It has two ReverseMmcx connectors (not the same as Cisco cards) and comes with a snap on antenna if you aren't using an external antenna. The card, even with the snap on antenna, is very flat so you can stack another card on top of it. --MichaelCodanti
