Website does not list chipset, but shows 'linux' under operating systems, so either a binary-only driver exists for this card or it has a currently-supported chipset. The Ap works resonable good out of the box, it has a 30mw output and the recieve rate seems ok. But the ap has some major downers.. It can only run in ap mode, client and bridging are not possible (even not with the latest firmware. So basicly it's only possible to use the ap's with client cards unless you make your own firmware.

Connecting
You can only configure the ap by connecting it to a hub, it's possible to ping/ etc. the ap but the ap manager does not find or flash the settings of the accesspoint while connected with a crossover cable.

Setup
Another downside of the d-link ap is that the configuration software is verry poorly set up. My big problem with the ap manager was at first i could not even find my ap on my network, i had to type the mac adresses of all ap's in the manager before he could not even find one ap. I tried this at first with my windows server but in a strange way the ap manager could not communicate with my ap's because i had a dhcp server running so i had to use my laptop.
After configuring the accesspoint you need to transport the settings to the ap, i configured 3 ap's and every time i made a change the manager only found 1 or 2 ap's.

Updating firmware:

Well here's another remark about the great programming skills of d-link. I wanted to flash the ap's because the config is not accessible by webbrowser, i tried..... about a thousand times, but the flash utill could not connect to the ap. If you want to flash the accesspoint you have to reset al settings or else the flash ap does not connect.

I do not actually own this card, but I saw it on the ENU website and thought that it might be a good deal for the money. If anyone buys one of these and has any additional information, feel free to add it here. Conclusion.
The 1000AP is a good accesspoint, the antenna's are verry easey to hack. the software and firmware are frustrating, but i'm working on a linux distro for it now and i hope that solves all my problems:)

Maybe someone else could add some points (100mw hack?)
