Gritted my teeth to pay $100 for a Linksys WMP11. At the register the clerk said "That's $79.99" Turns out they have some sort of unadvertised special or price match going on. And the card currently (early June 2002) has a $5 rebate. So the cost dropped to $75. Much nicer![[BR]]

The current project plan:

  1. get the LinkSysWMP11 working in AP mode, if possible
  2. get home node online (sorta done)
  3. scan for connections ;)

  4. document document document
  5. help others do the same.

I'm new around here. I have no wireless equipment yet - so lend your opinions! My home systems are mostly Linux based. The goal is to get a wireless connection to some other part of the Portland net.
