  • Comments/Thoughts:
    • There are many problems with this product. 1) Wired LAN to Wired WAN speeds are limited by the speed of the Wireless LAN. So if you have a server on your wired WAN side and are trying to get at it from your wired LAN side, you are limited to the slower wireless LAN speeds, not wired LAN speeds. It also broadcast all your wired LAN-wired WAN traffic across the wireless LAN. Great for having your neighbor sniff all your traffic. 2) Product locks up occasionally and requires a power reset. This happens with multiple units, with multiple users, and multiple firmware (revisions 12 and 17). 3) WEP only works with certain cards. I have not been able to get WEP to work with an Intel 2011 card, or a Lucent/Orinoco Gold. I however _have_ been successful with an Apple Airport card ant 40bit WEP. 4) Print functions are only available to Windows computers using software given by UGate. They could have easily made it LPD/LPR compatible (the even use the correct port, 515), but decided not to. 5) No external antenna options. **** What is good about it. 1) easy to setup, all done with your web browser (thus any standard TCP/IP - HTTP client can use it). Overall I would not recommend it. -- TerrySchmidt
