Agenda

  • Pick location for next weekly
  • Node notes:
    • NodeAnnapurna -- A bunch of APs are plugged in, bridged with dumb switches. Ole is considering more APs to the additional stairwells, possibly another 5 MR24s. Some work done on Zyxel GS1900-24e switch firmware.

    • NodeBeulahLand -- is offline since early December, needs a visit

    • NodeWhet -- ISP transition report?

    • NodeLionsEye -- is offline since mid-December, needs a visit

    • NodeEcotrust -- needs a PoE injector for downstairs AP.

    • NodeAlhambra -- more adjustments, also moving towards a firmware refresh and vlan rationalization after initial experimental expansions

    • NodeBuffaloGap -- ap3 seems to be unreachable, will ping node host to see about a power cycle

    • NodeWhet -- upgraded from legacy DSL service to Quantum fiber (500Mbps symmetric) Very smooth process and install!

    • NodeBrunner -- request from tenant for better wifi for online classes. Move existing MR.24 AP closer to apt. which requires PoE. Router is APU2 with no free ethernet ports.

  • Gear disposal:
    • 7 lengths of LMR400 gifted to a contributor, they had been in the stockpile unused for most of Russell's involvement with PTP, since the mid-aughts, unlikely to ever use them, given modern PoE-powered radios.
    • other random detritus, e.g. ancient 802.11b Cisco APs, in pile to go to e-waste.
  • APRA Grant update -- no news, presumably due to holidays. still waiting on security-instrument specifications, MOU finalization.
  • Russell going to Seattle on Thursday, back by Friday evening if not earlier.
  • Your Item Here
