Agenda

  • Pick location for next weekly
  • Review ToDoList2025 for any updates/notes

  • Node notes:
    • NodeGriswold -- TedBrunner and RussellSenior replaced the gateway device and tested the ethernet cable from the PoE injector by the desk to the dining room ap1 on September 6.

    • NodeBuffaloGap -- TedBrunner and RussellSenior visited to repair ap1 outage:

      • Replaced the power supply for ap1, an old 15V (problematic) supply
      • Fiddled with Netgear GS108Tv3 switches:
        • When all devices start at the same time, the switches give up on their DHCP leases before the ERX is offering DHCP leases, so they end up at 192.168.0.239
        • Power-cycled sw2 (middle room)
        • Logged into sw3 (upstairs) and rebooted from admin interface
      • Reviewed the topology of the network
      • Lost contact with ap5 around the time we were there, 15h30-ish
      • Lost contact with ap1 at around 19h30, long after we left
      • Noticed the outage at around 21h30:
        • Recovered ap1 by downing/upping eth1 on the gateway ERX
        • Recovered ap5 by rebooting sw3 from the admin interface again.
    • NodeBeulahLand -- EAP225-Outdoor ap1 for roof prep'd, another one purchased by PTP, install Saturday at 3pm

    • NodeCommunitecture -- Any update?

    • NodeAlhambra -- ap5 still down

  • OSUOSL update:
    • squelched olsrd logging, reducing the block churn and reducing the rsync time
      • drei from several hours to about 30 minutes
      • iris around 30 minutes
